Philippe Berthet is a possibility indeed.
Drawer Romain Hugault loosely based his Angel Wings trilogy on the early Buck Danny albums, and he likes to draw Buck Danny also (read this or other lay-out), but as Angel Wings is very well-received and succesful too, he and scenarist Yann intend to continue Angel Wings after volume 3 (according to this recent article). And Hugault and Yann have a contract with publisher Paquet in Switzerland.

Hugault even created a new female pilot/protagonist for his Angel Wings volume 3 (autumn 2016):

Next year anniversary of 70 years Buck Danny. First published in the Spirou comic weekly from January 2, 1947.
To celebrate this, Francis Bergèse (74), who in 2008 discontinued drawing the Buck Danny series, after a dispute about the future of this series (he proposeded a Buck Danny spin-off series at that time, but neglected by publisher Dupuis, nevertheless in 2013 adapted by the new CEO Alexandre Paringaux), is finishing the 16 page Buck Danny story "Les oiseaux noirs/ The Black Birds". A story by J.-M. Charlier, with 23 scenario-pages, but unfinshed caused by his death. Album to be released in 2017. The scenarists Fréderic Zumbiehl and Fréderic have finished the scenario and will be a dyptich as Charlier intended in 1988. These 16 pages have allready been published in Tout Buck Danny volume 14.
Since January this year, Bergèse is busy with page 17 - 46. The 2nd part will be drawn by another drawer, with Bergèse as a supervisor.

The reaction of Sonny Tuckson (from page 03B) is rather stupid by-the-way, as Tokio was bombed, so only ruins, no geisha's, etc.!
And if this was intended as a gag... hmmm.
And on the pages 5 -7 Mo-Chung Young and his accomplices liberate Miss Lee from a prison in China. But at that time (early September 1945) no Americans had prisons in China. During WW-II there was a civil war between Mao's commies and the Kuomintang lead by Chiang-Kai-shek.
And that prison (a huge fort) is very badly guarded, despite housing prisoners-of-war.
And Mo Choung-Young (however severely burned) was able to survive his kamikaze-action from Buck Danny volume 6. Seems impossible to me, as he was very close to the detonation source, and the building collapsed too.

I am very glad that this time the 2nd part of the dyptich immediately continues with the story on the main page! In the past (since volume 17) the main page of a dyptich was filled with a summary of the first part of the dyptich, and the story continued at page 2. That meant actually wasting a page, as the traditionally 46 page album had one page less. Referring to the first part of a dyptich could be done with 1 line on the main page or on page 2 of the cover page.

On the cover-art of the boxset with both the Buck Danny Classic #3 and T&L Classic#1 album (drawn by Sébastien Philippe), the outfit of Buck Danny isn't correct. Buck is wearing a L-2B flight-jacket, however the collar is from a CWU-36P jacket!

This is a in 1989 unfinished story by the late Jean-Michel Charlier. Last year the scenarist-team Fréderic Zumbiehl and Patrice Buendia (Tanguy & Laverdure) finished the story.

On January 13, 2017 the release of volume 1 of this oneshot: more info (with 5 pages).
In 1992 the first 16 pages of this story were published in bundle Tout Buck Danny volume 13.
The drawer of part 2 is unknown, presumably Sébastien Philippe. Last year he drew already the short Buck Danny/Tanguy &Laverdure story La Rencontree/The Meeting and some promo-posters, to celebrate the introduction of the new spin-off Tanguy & Laverdure Classic.

Yes, in 1988 Charlier (64) wrote 23 pages scenario of The Blackbirds/Les Oiseaux Noirs. Then he died. From this scenario Francis Bergèse had drawn 16 pages and they were published in the Spirou magazine (1989).
In 2016 CEO Paringaux asked Bergèse to draw pages 17 - 46 of The Blackbirds. In the mean time the scenarists Buendia en Zumbiehl finished the scenario of the late Charlier and they made a dyptich of it, as Charlier prefered to write trilogies and dyptiches. The 2nd album of The Blackbirds is called "Operation Checkmate" and will be released in October 2017. So far the drawer is unknown. Bergèse, age 75, is to ill to draw a 2nd album.
"The Blackbirds" and "Operation Checkmate" will be together a oneshot, so parallel to the main series and the Classic spin-off.
A oneshot because of the 70 years Buck Danny anniversary this year.

In November 2017 Buck Danny volume 56 ("Vostok doesn't answer") from the main series will be released.

On June 2, 2017, Buck Danny Classic volume 4 was released ("Devil's Island"). Below the boxset for volume 3 and 4 (cycle 2), with additional 10 ex-libris:

In short: in 2017 4 new Buck Danny albums are planned. And in July 2017 Buck Danny Integrale volume 12 will be released too.

Scenario 3rd cycle (brief):
It’s 1961. Buck Danny and his mates Jerry Tumbler, Sonny Tuckson and Slim Holden are stationed on the USS Saratoga (CV-60) from admiral Mac Donald in the Mediterranean. When Sonny Tuckson has a forced landing in one of the countries behind the Iron Curtain, his pals intent to rescue him.
